The Route: Started at Brinsbury College, passed Hill Farm and Stopham Bridge, stopped for lunch at Fittleworth Village Hall, and returned via the Wey South Path.
Report by Clive Eaton

Sometimes the weather in its infinite wisdom decides to surprise us with hailstones from above.
A complete white-out during out game – so we escaped to the clubhouse for tea and cake. But it cleared after tea and we carried on!
Life in an outdoor bowling world: sun, rain, wind, lightning, and, occasionally, hailstones.
You name it, we try and play in it!

Home game prechat with castle green bowls club . Where everything is (i.e. toilets etc) and more importantly the bar at the end of the match. Plus, match rules for the afternoon.
Always a fun game against friends of the club.

Rumikub, chess, crib, scrabble, backgammon etc
With new games being added.

The weather was spectacular, very dark, with thunderstorms all around.
We didn’t start very well (look at the scoreboards) but eventually turned it around to draw on rink two and win on rink one on the very last end.
As usual Castle Green were excellent hosts.
Robert
