Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding is a term used to describe the ethos, processes and procedures an organisation adopts to ensure a safe environment and culture in which everyone can fulfil their potential.
Merrow Village Bowls Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults who use our club facilities. The Club expects all members and staff (including Committee Members, Coaches, and Volunteers) to share this commitment. We all have a responsibility to show respect to others and report or challenge unsafe or bullying behaviour.
Our Club Safeguarding Officer (SO) is Debbie Ewins who can be contacted on debbie.ewins@ntlworld.com.
If you have a safeguarding concern, please record (on the incident reporting form if appropriate) your concern and any observations or conversation heard and report it to Debbie Ewins as soon as possible the same day. Refer to the guidance in the Safeguarding in Bowls Policy. We take safeguarding concerns seriously and will respond in line with national and local guidance, following our policy.
