Sutton Green Golf Club

The afternoon started with a speech from our Chairman Richard, who paid tribute to David and Debbie Ewins for their magnificent contribution to the club over the years and sadly have now left the club. A message was also read out from David and Debbie, thanking everyone for the card and gifts we had given them.

This year we celebrated our winners and finalists for 2026.

We enjoyed a 3 course menu and were joined by a table of our friends from Castle Green bowls club. After which all the trophies and medals were presented by our President David Foster.

With all the clapping and cheering completed , we finished off the day with the usual raffle with members collecting some very nice prizes.

It was another successful and very enjoyable year with the presentation arranged excellently by Joan and Allen, and Clive, who will be taking on this role next year.

A poignant part of the celebrations was John Preston winning the drawn men’s pairs, which his father won in 1993! That was a surprise to everyone! John was very proud. (The trophy shown in the photos )
