Following hectic setting-up activity on Friday evening, Saturday dawned bright and sunny ready for our Autumn jumble sale. Unfortunately, the good weather was soon replaced by heavy showers.
Our early buyers were in action as soon as we released them, with the normal entries coming in at 10am for a good old rummage round. This sale saw a large number of items for sale, from small vases to PC monitors, pushchairs and even a steam generator ironing board! As usual, we also had a really good selection of books and toys.
It is always great fun selling to the public at these events; a lot of jokiness is in evidence and people are usually generous with their donations to our club. It was also an opportunity to promote the club to prospective members with a view to the next Open Day.
The calm before the storm. All set up and ready to go.
Be sure to support our next jumble sale in the Spring.
